The margaritas at Gloria’s do not play around. These are the real deal folks. No powdery mix taste here and no skimping on the tequila! I ordered the meltdown topped off with grand marnier and my girlfriend ordered the mangorita. Although for me the mangorita was a little on the sweet side she enjoyed it and it was refreshing on a sunny day. We also tried the swirl and why wouldn’t you try them all, Gloria’s has the best happy hour prices. Most days the margaritas are $3-$5. I would look them up online since their happy hours vary between locations.
Onto the grub, I was very pleased with the dish I ordered. I had the Pollo con Champiñones which was a grilled chicken breast, covered with a sour cream sauce, grilled poblano peppers, sautéed mushrooms, and onions. It was delicious and very filling. My friend ordered the Lechon Asado which is a grilled pork tenderloin, served in a chile ancho sauce with Argentinian sausage, plantain, yucca. Portions were plenty, and we always had a fresh order of warm tortillas at the table. My only complaint is the hot sauce was a little on the weak side but that is my personal taste, I like it HOT!
All in all our experience at Gloria’s was a positive one. The staff was very friendly and attentive. We were fortunate enough to get a table on the patio on a gorgeous sunny day. We had a great time drinking our margaritas and people watching. The atmosphere is fun, the food is great and the margaritas are potent!
