I tried the Purple Haze Margarita made with Hornitos Reposado tequila, Chambord and sweet and sour, which makes for a sweet relaxed experiences that it's name implies.
Beachside - Bar - Cafe , is located at Goleta State Park and pier, next to UCSB campus and offers a reasonably priced menu and great view.
I went during late lunch midweek and they were still busy. During the summer and late Spring this place is a bit more active. The patio is enclosed so access to the beach is not direct, so you experience the beach away from the sand and wind.
